Why it’s built this way
Adults should do muscle-strengthening activity that works all major muscle groups at least 2 days a week [1]. These two sessions cover that in about 30 minutes each. ACSM notes that 1–3 sets per exercise work for novices [2].
Pair it with 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week, such as brisk walking (more in Cardio) [1].
